Spratt Endicott Solicitors is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our business activities are conducted in an ethical and professional manner, minimising the impact on the environment. We are committed to operating to the highest possible legal standards with a strong sense of integrity, developing and maintaining trust with our clients and business partners.
We believe Community, Diversity and Environmental issues are key to Corporate Social Responsibility. We aim to take an active role in the local area and business community, and to do all we can to help improve our region through charitable donation and supporting initiatives that make a difference to people.
Charity and Community:
Every year we adopt one main charity as our “Charity of the Year" which is then our main focus for fundraising activities. Our staff raise funds individually and collectively for a local nominated and elected charity.
We have been raising funds for a Charity of the Year since our formation in 2002. Our fundraising starts on 1st May each year and runs to 30th April the next year, so we have a full financial year to raise funds.
This year we are raising funds for the Katharine House Hospice.
Katharine House Hospice is local to all four of our office locations, located 4 miles south of Banbury and on the borders of Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Katharine House Hospice delivers healthcare called specialist palliative care, for patients and their families. It delivers this care in any setting including within the hospice building, within the patient’s home and in the Horton Hospital.
Specialist palliative care is for those who have a diagnosis of any illness such as heart failure or cancer, which is advanced and therefore cannot be cured.
The purpose of palliative care is to help the patient live as fully and comfortably as possible in the last period of life by focusing on their needs. It also aims to support their family, both practically and emotionally, with all aspects of caring for someone they love.

As well as our charity of the year we sponsor or provide support to a variety of local charities and organisations where there is a link with our people, the local community or the legal industry in general. A number of our Directors and staff also engage in legal pro bono work or take part as individuals in charitable events.
Here are some of the local organisations we support:
Spratt Endicott is fully committed to creating a culture of equal opportunity, fairness and inclusivity for all. We are recognised locally as an excellent place to work and have been awarded Investors in People. We promote equality and diversity in our own policies and practices in relation to all professional dealings with staff, clients and other solicitors or third parties. Everyone is treated equally regardless of their disability, gender, marital status, age, race, racial group, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, religion or belief or sexual orientation.
Going Green – The Environment:
We recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment. We want to limit these impacts as far as possible, and view compliance with environmental law not as a benchmark but a minimum requirement.
We are committed to ensuring that our business is environmentally responsible and believe it is essential for us to achieve continuous improvements and support external initiatives.
To address key issues of concern and minimise our environmental impact we commit to reducing the production of waste and recycle wherever possible. We also aim to conserve energy through efficient use of natural resources and manufactured products such as paper.
These commitments are set out in our Environmental Policy which is central to our business. The environment policy is reviewed on an annual basis. The policy is implemented by our Green team which meets monthly to promote environmental awareness and reduce waste.
