Spratt Endicott Solicitors is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our business activities are conducted in an ethical and professional manner minimising the impact on the environment. We are committed to operating to the highest possible legal standards with a strong sense of integrity, developing and maintaining trust with our clients and business partners.
We believe Community, Diversity and Environmental issues are key to Corporate Social Responsibility and our approach to these is summarised on the right.
Community:
Every year we adopt one main charity as the “Spratt Endicott Charity of the Year” as the main focus our fundraising activities. This year we have selected the Horton General Charitable Fund helps to enhance the hospital environment, fund research and purchase equipment that makes a real difference to patients, as well as contributing to staff development and training – going above and beyond that which standard NHS budgets can achieve. It is important to note that all money raised and donated to the Horton General Charitable Fund can only be used for the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
As well as our charity of the year we sponsor or provide assistance to a variety of local charities and organisations where there is a link with our people, the local community or the legal industry in general. A number of our partners and staff also engage in legal pro bono work or take part as individuals in charitable events.
Diversity:
Spratt Endicott is fully committed to creating a culture of equal opportunity, fairness and inclusivity for all. We are recognised locally as excellent place to work and have been awarded Investors in People. We promote equality and diversity in our own policies and practices in relation to all professional dealings with staff, clients and other solicitors or third parties. Everyone is treated equally regardless of their disability, gender, marital status, age, race, racial group, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, religion or belief or sexual orientation.
Going Green – The Environment:
We recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment. We want to limit these impacts as far as possible, and view compliance with environmental law not as a benchmark but a minimum requirement.
We are committed to ensuring that our business is environmentally responsible and believe it is essential for us to achieve continuous improvements and support external initiatives.
To address key issues of concern and minimise our environmental impact we commit to reducing the production of waste and recycle where-ever possible. We also aim to conserve energy through efficient use of natural resources and manufactured products such as paper.
These commitments are set out in our Environmental Policy which is central to our business. The environment policy is reviewed on an annual basis. The policy is implemented by our Green team which meets monthly to promote environmental awareness and reduce waste.
