Conveyancing Administrator – Banbury Office

Position: Conveyancing Administrator
Department: Residential Property
Reporting to: Residential Property Manager
Team: Team of 20 (Banbury Office)
Terms/Hours: Full time.  Monday to Friday 9.00-5.30pm
Salary and Benefits: (Competitive) - Depending on experience, Free Car Parking, Group Life cover, Long service awards, Annual pay reviews, Company sick pay, Pension.

The Role

A new opportunity has arisen to work within a Legal 500 firm based in Banbury. We are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Administrator into our busy Residential Property department. No previous experience within a law firm or conveyancing is necessary, but a willingness to learn and strong administration and organisational skills are essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sending new Title information out to clients and lenders and, when it is a new property, to development companies
  • Prepare and send out exchange and completion letters
  • Updating milestones on websites
  • Telephone support/accurate message taking and forwarding
  • Chasing other parties in chain for documents and information
  • SDLT5 submission and billing
  • Dealing with requisitions raised
  • Registrations and correspondence with the Land Registry and other parties for documents
  • File Opening and ID documents along with starter form return procedure/meeting with clients for ID and copying and scanning onto system (when the file opener is away or of they have a big workload will help out)
  • Post Completion Work - closing the file when all ledgers are clear and sending files to be archived

Our Residential Conveyancing team consists of twenty staff based in Banbury, and they have extensive expertise in conveyancing for all types of residential property transactions. Areas of expertise that we excel in include help-to-buy properties, retirement homes; freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and new build and self build properties. Our clients range from first-time buyers, through to highly experienced property developers and we are proud to consistently achieve an extremely high level of client satisfaction.
