• Debra trained and qualified at City law firm Norton Rose, in both its London and Paris offices, qualifying in 1995 as a specialist employment lawyer
• Debra joined Spratt Endicott in 2009, following a career break spent largely overseas 
• Debra advises on all aspects of employment law, for both employers and employees.  She advises on contracts of employment, service agreements, secondment agreements, restrictive covenants, wrongful dismissal, bonus payments and employee handbooks. 
• She has extensive experience of negotiating and settling compromise agreements, advising on claims in the employment tribunal for unfair dismissal, redundancies, and all aspects of discrimination law including age, race, and sex and disability discrimination
• Debra is experienced in acting for employees through legal expenses insurers as well as on a private fee paying basis 

Work highlights:

• Debra has advised on the employee aspects of an acquisition of part of the BBC World Service Transmission Service, including preparing due diligence reports, advising on TUPE, Pension aspects, and collective agreements Radio Service
• Debra has defended an equal pay claim for Oxford Brookes University
• Debra has negotiated settlements on behalf of her employee clients with Vodafone, Football League Managers Association; various PLCs;  Kraft Foods Limited; Microsoft Limited; Avis Europe; and SOAS amongst others
• Debra has advised English Heritage, Royal Bank of Scotland, National Power, and various colleges of Oxford University

Professional memberships, publications and interests:

Debra admires the work of the Free Representation Unit, which provides free legal representation in employment claims in the Central London Tribunal for clients who would otherwise not be able to afford representation.

Debra enjoys travelling with her husband and young family and speaks French and German fluently.  She also enjoys live music in all its forms.
