Child Maintenance Issues

Parents who no longer live together both have financial responsibilities towards their children. It may be, for example, that a child lives with its mother and she seeks maintenance (a regular financial contribution) from the father towards the child’s upkeep and welfare. Where the parents can not agree the level of payments to be made informally, they may require legal advice.

What approach does Spratt Endicott recommend to these disputes?

Spratt Endicott advocates the assistance of mediation where such an approach is appropriate and can avoid the need for Court proceedings.  Where matters cannot be resolved by agreement, we will assist with the practicalities and guide you through the Court process.

Spratt Endicott offers a fully managed service to provide you with as much or as little legal support as you may require in negotiating child maintenance issues or taking matters through the court.

Helping parents focus on their children’s needs

We are often asked to clarify that payment of child support, or lack of it, must have no bearing on the level of contact enjoyed by the paying parent.

Spratt Endicott offers a fully managed service in connection with child maintenance and can provide you with as much or as little legal support as you may require.
