Property Insight - Assured Shorthold Tenancy - How long is the agreement?

An Assured Shorthold Tenancy (“AST”) that was granted before 28 February 1997 had to be for a minimum fixed term of 6 months. However, with an AST created on or after 28 February 1997 there is no requirement that the AST has to be for a minimum term.
