Department: Dispute Resolution Department
Reporting to: Dispute Resolution Solicitor - Anis Waiz
Terms/Hours: Full time.  Monday to Friday 9.00-5.30pm
Salary and Benefits: (Competitive) - Depending on experience, Free Car Parking, Group Life cover, Long service awards, Annual pay reviews, Company sick pay, Pension.

The Role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Secretary to join our busy Dispute Resolution team. This is a varied and interesting role and is ideally suited to a committed individual, who works well in a team and has a ‘can do’ attitude.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing full secretarial support to fee earner, as required, including preparing correspondence and documents through fast and accurate audio-typing and word processing.
  • Providing enhanced support to their fee earner and being confident and willing to use own initiative.
  • Administering both manual and electronic filing daily.
  • Opening, maintaining and closing files.
  • Closing, storing and retrieving client files.
  • Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch.
  • Making appointments and arranging meetings; and maintaining an up-to-date diary.
  • Attending clients, both in person and on the telephone, and providing such support in a professional and friendly manner in-keeping with the Company’s standards for client care.
  • Ensuring that all telephone calls are answered promptly and messages passed on immediately.
  • Contributing as a team member including providing support to other secretaries as required.
  • Undertaking any specific training when required by the Company and to have overall responsibility towards self-development.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of all the Company’s and the Company’s clients’ information and documentation.
  • Contributing to the Company’s overall business objectives by offering support to other departments when appropriate and when agreed with fee earner.
