Family Law Solicitor Gemma Davison Attends Oxford Brookes’ Summer Law School for A-Level Students

August 25th 2016

On Tuesday 16th August, Gemma Davison, Associate at Spratt Endicott Solicitors, attended Oxford Brookes University’s ‘Life in Law’ – a free summer school for A-Level students.

This aim of the Summer Law School is to encourage students from disadvantaged backgrounds to enter the legal profession.

Gemma attended the first day of the four day event and gave a presentation on opportunities in the legal profession, together with Richard Benson QC.

Students were encouraged to research all avenues and paths into legal practice when looking to embark on a legal career.  As part of the event the students are also being asked to consider different areas of law and skills that lawyers require.

Gemma gave a presentation on client interviewing skills, and highlighted the importance of building a good relationship with your client.

Gemma said: “It is imperative that we encourage the very best students into the profession, whatever their background and this event has given students an invaluable opportunity to find out more about their options.”
