After a successful members meeting in Lisbon, June 2016, Law Link directors met again in Rome in November 2016, providing a platform to discuss the organisation’s strategy and finances for the coming year in detail.
The discussions lead to decisions in respect of future annual members’ meetings. Following a hugely successful visit to the Supreme Court of Justice in Lisbon, it was decided that future meetings should include a court visit, to allow members to gain an understanding of the various judicial systems. Another important decision that was agreed upon was the invitation of European Law Experts to give lectures to the members about recent international or European law developments and changes.
The meeting took place in the offices of Casella Pacca di Matrice, an Italian Law Firm, established in 1960 and based in the heart of Rome, allowing directors to meet the lawyers who work there. The meeting concluded with a private tour of the Vatican Museum, lead by a professional and knowledgeable guide and later, the directors were treated to a formal dinner at the “Club Nuovo Circolo degli Scacchi”, an 18th century, baroque styled palace, converted into an exclusive functions hall.
