National award shortlisting shows law firm’s commitment to staff

Spratt Endicott Solicitors are celebrating as they are shortlisted for a national award. In recognition of their commitment to staff through their Employee Wellbeing Programme, the firm has been shortlisted in the People & Engagement category in the LPM Practice Excellence Awards.  

As a large and long-standing local employer, Spratt Endicott has always taken the needs of their staff very seriously and understand the importance of a positive working environment to their success. In an incredibly competitive marketplace, many law firms face challenges retaining high performing staff and in building a distinctive company culture across their offices. Their Employee Wellbeing Programme was launched to create a greater sense of community for the team, provide education and support on the challenges facing colleagues, and help to build stronger relationships between people working across all levels of the business.

Soon to run into it’s third year, the Employee Wellbeing Programme has drawn attention to issues such as stress and anxiety, physical fitness, healthy eating, work/life balance, and diabetes through a monthly calendar of events such as talks from local charities, interactive activities, and competitions. The law firm has also trained mental health first aiders and launched other initiatives to improve engagement and communication following the success of this programme.

The LPM Practice Excellence Awards were launched to highlight outstanding achievements and best practices in law firms across the country, drawing particularly on improvements in efficiency and staff engagement. Judged by a panel of their peers, the awards recognise businesses who stand out in the industry for going the extra mile for their staff and clients.

Having made the shortlist, the winners announced at an awards ceremony at the LPM South Conference in London on 10^th of February.
