Oxfordshire Solicitors Spratt Endicott and Barristers Chambers 3 Paper Buildings will hold a seminar on 13th of June  to provide information for prospective LGBT parents who are planning on starting a family. The event, which is free to attend, will be held at Oxford Holiday Inn from 3-7pm and will discuss the different options available when starting a family including surrogacy, fertility and adoption; the different structures a modern family can take and the legal considerations to be aware of.

During the event, attendees will hear presentations from charities Parents & Children Together (PACT) and Oxford Friend in addition to Spratt Endicott and 3 Paper Buildings highlighting what the different forms that a modern family can take, the adoption process and support that is available to adoptive parents, information around surrogacy agreements, and an update on recent legislative changes around adoption, fostering, and IVF.

Speakers and additional exhibitors including Oxfordshire County Council Fostering Service, will share their expertise and engage with attendees through informative presentations and Q&A sessions, networking breaks and one-to-one meetings for more personal conversations.

“This event will be a great opportunity for prospective parents to learn more about the options available to them when deciding to start a family and where to start. Our intention is to create an open environment to allow people to ask the questions that they haven’t been able to find answers for. Starting a family is an exciting, but daunting time in everyone’s life. We’d like to help our attendees make the decision that’s right for them,” said Gemma Davison, Associate in Family Law at Spratt Endicott Solicitors and a speaker at the event.
