Paula Tedder joins us as an Associate in the Private Capital team in Bicester.

 Paula undertook her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, London after completing the LLB (Hons) Degree at Westminster University. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2007.

Since then she has worked at firms in Milton Keynes and Aylesbury before joining us.

Paula specialises in providing advice to private individuals on the preparation of Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship Orders.

She also advises on declarations of trust in connection with property co-ownership, deeds of variation and inheritance tax advice.

  • Paula is experienced at drafting Wills and has prepared thousands of Wills from basic Wills to those for High Net Worth clients, and Wills which include trust arrangements. Paula understands the terminology can be difficult to follow and will always take time to help clients to understand the terms and their practical effect.
  • She has acted for legal personal representatives in dealing with all aspects of estate administration from start to completion.This includes dealing with business and farming estates and claims for Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief.
  • Paula has managed the administration of a number of multi-million pound estates and successfully obtained Grants of Probate in very complex situations, including those with overseas assets.
  • She advises Trustees on their legal responsibilities and Trust administration and prepares Trust documents including varieties of Trust Deeds, Trustee Resolutions, Deeds of Appointment and Deeds of Retirement.
  • She drafts Lasting Powers of Attorney and applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyship appointments, Statutory Wills and Trustee matters.
  • Paula has advised on NHS Continuing Healthcare assessments and dealt with appeals where funding has been refused with successes at both local resolution level and independent panel.

Professional Memberships and Interest

Paula was admitted as a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2015.

She is also a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly.

Outside work Paula has 3 children to keep her busy and enjoys spending time with her family.
