Spratt Endicott expands data protection expertise

April 8th 2019

Spratt Endicott Solicitors has expanded its data protection expertise as the firm’s Risk, Quality and Compliance manager, Rachael Eyre, has obtained the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (GDPR).

Rachael has been instrumental in ensuring that the Oxfordshire based law firm complies with all aspects of business regulation, including GDPR, money laundering, fraud, SRA regulations and more.

This qualification, obtained through PDP who are a leading in data protection training, sees Rachael join the elite list of practitioners in data protection who have qualified under the GDPR regime, the list can be found here https://www.pdptraining.com/gdpr-qualified-candidates-cpd.

Rachael Eyre said of her qualification: “GDPR is a big evolutionary step in data protection law, and there has been a lot of misinformation and fear mongering. It was the right time to undertake the course, to ensure that not only was my GDPR knowledge and practice strong, but also that I could demonstrate that I am qualified to advise after so many people jumped on the data protection advice bandwagon in 2018!

She continued: “The programme has been really beneficial. Not only does it reassure me that I am delivering the correct information to the business, it also helps to demonstrate to everyone else that this is the case too. As a law firm, it’s important that we project the right message and being properly compliant is a key part of this.”

John Spratt, Chairman and Director at Spratt Endicott, commented: “Ensuring that we and our clients are compliant with the latest data protection regulations is hugely important for all of us. Rachael has done very well indeed to win this elite qualification: Congratulations, Rachael.”
