Spratt Endicott’s Family Law Department excels in Legal 500 UK 2017

November 2nd 2017

Spratt Endicott Solicitors’ Family Law Department has excelled in the Legal 500 UK 2017, achieving Tier 2 status, despite its comparatively small size, putting it on a par with much larger law firms.

The Legal 500 series has been published for 29 years. It is a client’s guide to the capabilities of individual law firms and acts as a recommendation of the best legal services providers in over 100 countries.

In addition to the overall department ranking, all of the Family Law lawyers earned individual recommendations, including Gemma Davison who has been marked as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ and a ‘real star in the making’ for her work in mediation, where she handles financial work for married and cohabiting couples, public and private sector pension sharing orders and spousal maintenance, among other matters. ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ is a newly introduced recommendation for the Legal 500 that serves to identify the depth of lawyers below senior partners, acknowledging senior Associates who make a discernible difference to the quality of the services offered by their firm.

Further mentions in the rankings included Justine Cadbury, an experienced former London barrister who joined Spratt Endicott last year and was deemed ‘highly regarded’ by the Legal 500, while Sandeep Sandhu, who specialises in children matters and has more than 11 years’ experience as a family lawyer, was recognised thanks to the fact she ‘always provides clients with the best advice.’

The Legal 500 is the leading guide to law firms in the UK: these recommendations for the Family Law department demonstrate the depth and breadth of its expertise. Servicing clients in and around Oxfordshire, but also in London and abroad, the department offers legal advice on all family related matters, including mediation, divorce, child maintenance, pre-marital agreements, injunctions and more.

Patrick Mulcare, Director and Head of Family Law at Spratt Endicott, who was described as an ‘absolute class act’ in the guide, said of the rankings: “The team we have here is comprised of outstanding individuals and it’s fantastic to have been recognised for the quality of the work we do.”

John Spratt, Chairman of Spratt Endicott, said of the Family Law department: “Spratt Endicott is centred on providing specialist expertise. The Family Law department epitomises this. Patrick does an excellent job heading up the department and that excellence extends right through the team, as evidenced by the Legal 500 rankings. We’re extremely proud as a firm to have such valued colleagues.”

Spratt Endicott has been similarly recommended in the practice areas of Corporate and Commercial, Employment, Commercial Property, Personal tax, Trusts and Probate, Agriculture and Estates, Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property and Insolvency and Corporate Recovery and the Debt Recovery department once again achieved Top Tier status, underlining the unique quality of its offering.
