Spratt Endicott Solicitors’ ambitious expansion into new premises

March 29th 2017

The leading Legal 500 Oxfordshire law firm has expanded its head office into new premises following a sustained period of ongoing growth and success.

With offices in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, Spratt Endicott has now extended its Banbury based head office into Linden House, a Grade II listed building in the heart of the town centre.

Having been based in the adjoining property since 2002, the expansion is a significant milestone for the company as it further enhances its North Oxfordshire presence.

Linden House is located on the corner of South Bar (The Green) and West Bar, adjacent to the historic landmark, the Banbury Cross and the Fine Lady bronze statue. Spratt Endicott now occupies a number of buildings along South Bar Street, providing easy access for clients and all within walking distance of the town’s restaurants, shops and railway station.

John Spratt, Chairman of Spratt Endicott Solicitors said: “We are proud that our roots are firmly based in Banbury, and as our work is very much of a national and international nature, our premises must reflect the quality of our legal services and the value we place on our clients, professional contacts and staff.”

Linden House is a Grade II listed property with a private garden and a large private car park at the rear. It will provide over 5,000 sq ft of additional office space, providing excellent facilities for staff and clients.

With a purpose-built reception area, large training room and a suite of elegant meeting rooms, Spratt Endicott aims to delight its clients and provide them with the highest quality service.

On the renovation work required to create the offices, Andrew Woods, Director and Head of Commercial Property at Spratt Endicott Solicitors said:  “We are delighted that our move into Linden House will ensure that it will continue to operate as modern commercial premises, providing employment opportunities and commerce at the very heart of the town.  We have used local suppliers to help in the sensitive refurbishment of this handsome building.  Streamline Office Services Ltd, also located in South Bar Street, has carried out an excellent job in project managing all of the work to a very tight timescale.”

Mark Steel, MD at Streamline Office Services Ltd, said: “Streamline Office Services were delighted to be awarded the refurbishment contract at Linden House. Our project brief from Spratt Endicott was very clear from the beginning; a contemporary mix of old and new. Having carried out refurbishment projects for both Savills and Fisher German, also on South Bar, we were confident we could provide Spratt Endicott with a first class project.”

All visitors will now be welcomed at the new reception area at Linden House and meet with their solicitors in one of the number of meeting rooms available.  The Commercial Property and Family Law teams have moved into the new building, and Spratt Endicott also plans to move in its Dispute Resolution team, which will see staff housed throughout the building, creating a vibrant working environment as the wider Spratt Endicott team continues to grow and develop.

John Spratt concluded: “Our expansion into Linden House represents our commitment to Banbury, and ensures we can accommodate our growing number of staff and provide first-class facilities for our clients.”
