Spratt Endicott Solicitors invests in Bicester

November 9th 2017

A leading Oxfordshire law firm has invested in its Bicester office, bringing in a wealth of new talent to its team based in the town, while also undertaking an extensive refurbishment of its premises.

Situated in the historic Old Courthouse on Sheep Street, Spratt Endicott’s newly refurbished office provides a smart, professional environment for its clients and staff; fitting premises for the depth and breadth of specialist legal knowledge the team now boasts.

Spratt Endicott Solicitors is a Legal 500 law firm with offices in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. With its head office in Banbury, it has also had a presence in Bicester since its merger with Alfred Truman solicitors in 2014.

As part of an enhanced focus on the town, Carol Shaw, Director and Head of Employment Law at Spratt Endicott is now permanently based in the Bicester office. With 36 years’ experience, having qualified as a solicitor in 1986, Carol has been with the firm since 2002 and is now Bicester-based, thanks to the high demand from local businesses for her specialist capabilities.

Other new appointments to the Bicester office include Anis Waiz of the Dispute Resolution Team, a specialist litigation solicitor with 18 years’ experience who brings a wealth of knowledge in commercial, banking and finance litigation, while Sharandeep Chhabra, a former trainee, is now a fully qualified solicitor in the Residential Property Department. Emma Rolfe, solicitor, has also come in to strengthen the Private Capital Team, augmenting the department with her expertise in mental health law and matters relating to the Court of Protection.

Spratt Endicott now has Bicester-based specialists in Employment Law, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution, Private Client and Residential Property. The law firm is also able to call on additional specialists in other legal areas from its other offices in order to supplement the workings of the Bicester team.

The Old Courthouse is a Grade II listed building and has been home to a legal practice for more than 40 years. With the growth and development of the town, Spratt Endicott recognised the need to make significant capital investment to ensure clients’ needs are met in a modern, professional environment.

The ground floor of the building has been completely refurbished, providing a tasteful and contemporary reception area and three flexible meeting rooms. The refurbishment is currently being extended to all four floors of this substantial building, providing efficient office space for its growing number of staff.

John Spratt, Chairman at Spratt Endicott, says of the future: “I am proud of all that we are achieving for our staff, our clients and our professional colleagues.  We are growing and strengthening as a firm and are excited by developments that are taking place here in Bicester. We have never been in a better position as we are now to provide the type of support and advice that our Bicester clients need to help achieve their goals and dreams.”
