Spratt Endicott supports many charities in the local community, and Katharine House Hospice is one of those. In 2016, the Hospice was our Charity of the Year and staff raised over £4,200.
Essentially, the Kärcher Accumulator Challenge involves participants being given £50 from Kärcher and asked to come up with creative fundraising initiatives to grow the initial start-up capital into as much money as possible by the end of December 2017.
Trainees reach out to businesses
Throughout the last quarter of 2017, the trainees worked hard to secure a selection of prizes from both local and regional businesses.
Chris Furlong, a trainee at Spratt Endicott said: “We wanted to get some great prizes, and the level of response that we received was incredible. We would like to thank all those businesses that made generous donations.”
A special thank you to The Tame Hare, Voujon, Broughton Castle, The Banbury Cross Players, Bletchley Park, The Williams F1 team, Spratt Endicott, Studley Wood Golf Club, Tadmarton Health Golf Club, Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, Coventry Football Club, Towcester Races, Victoria Art Gallery, Bath Fashion Museum, Bath’s Roman Baths and Majestic Wine for their contributions to the Challenge.
Raffle and Auction
The prizes were then raffled off at the firm’s annual Christmas drinks party, with a silent auction running for a couple of weeks. Professional contacts, friends and colleagues generously bought tickets and placed silent bids in an effort to raise funds before the deadline at the end of December.
The result
The overall success of the challenge has been a well deserved accomplishment for the trainees. Their hard work has paid off with over £600 raised for The Katharine House Hospice.
John Spratt, Chairman, said: “It was great to see our trainees take on this Challenge with such energy and enthusiasm. We are very proud to support Kärcher in raising vital funds for Katharine House Hospice, which provides essential services to our community.”
On the 6th of March, our trainees will be attending the Annual Kärcher Accumulator Challenge Awards Evening to celebrate not only their achievement, but also the efforts of everyone involved.
