The Legal 500 2014 Recommends and Ranks Spratt Endicott’s Key Practice Areas

We are delighted to announce that Spratt Endicott Solicitors has significantly improved its rankings in the latest edition of The Legal 500 UK, the leading guide to law firms in the UK. Spratt Endicott is recommended in The Legal 500 United Kingdom 2014 South East region in 10 practice areas, with 10 lawyers (all mentioned below) being recommended and David Endicott recognised as a leading individual and listed in the elite “Leading Lawyers” list, The Legal 500’s guide to outstanding lawyers nationwide.

The 10 practice areas ranked and recommended are Corporate Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Debt Recovery, Employment, Commercial Property, Intellectual Property, Personal tax, trusts and probate, Agriculture and Estates, Insolvency and Corporate Recovery, and Property Litigation.

The Legal 500 describes the Corporate and Commercial team as ‘excellent‘ and notes recent work including commercial mandates for high-profile clients such as Karcher (UK) and Maxell Europe. Team head and Senior Partner John Spratt, partner Hitendra Patel, and Catherine O’Riordan, an Associate, are individually recommended by The Legal 500.

David Endicott, Managing Partner and head of the Personal tax, trusts and probate department is again listed in the elite “Leading Lawyers” list, The Legal 500‘s guide to outstanding lawyers nationwide. David’s team members, partner Lucy Gordon and solicitor Tom McInerney are both recommended, with Lucy described as ‘a delight to deal with‘ and Tom termed ‘exceptional‘.

Once again, our Debt Recovery department is highly ranked as a Tier 2 firm in the guide. Martin Hughes, a recommended individual, leads the debt recovery team, and particular sector strengths include banking and logistics.

The Legal 500 states that ‘Spratt Endicott is very well regarded for commercial litigation‘. David Whiting, described as an ‘excellent strategic litigator‘, heads up our Dispute Resolution team.

Carol Shaw has been recommended along with her specialist employment team, with recent work highlights including successfully defending a client in two unfair dismissal tribunals, and advising on pensions and agency worker issues following another client’s acquisition of a company.

Andrew Woods of our Commercial Property department is recommended, along with the department as a whole.
